When I emigrated from Denmark to Sweden in 2005 the time was also up for starting my own firm.
I was educated in 1995 at the Roskilde University as a Master of Arts (cand.comm.), specialised in intercultural communication and Spanish Language and Literature. In 1994 I had started to teach at universities and as a freelance for NGO organisations - later also on Folk High Schools and within the Danish Department of Education's youth exchange programs.
I was employed as a teacher at a boarding school for two years on Funen working with international exchange programs, and teaching languages - and I participated in the process of starting the school.
For five very interesting years I was employed as a consultant of The Municipality of Odense working in the multiethnic suburb 'Vollsmose'. I worked basically with development of projects, communication, branding and empowerment related to the 10-year project 'Vollsmose is changing!' which was a cooperation between the Danish state, the municipality of Odense and the inhabitants of the suburb.
Now I live in Småland, Sweden with my husband and two sons, working both in Denmark and Sweden as a teacher and consultant, travelling in intercultural encounters, communication and conflict resolution.

I still think
after 15 years of professional work with intercultural encounters and communication that it’s some of the most challenging and developing - both professionally and personally.
My personal experiences from intercultural encounters have been very valuable to give life engagement and energy to my work. The experiences I have mainly got from my time in the multicultural suburb Vollsmose, from many journeys in the big world and from a year in Barcelona, Spain where I studied in my ‘pure youth’!
The on-going inspiration I get from the multicultural groups I teach and from my everyday life as an immigrant in Sweden.
